Cette rencontre s’inscrit dans le cadre des préparatifs du Sommet des Amériques prévu pour les 6 et 7 juin, à Los Angeles, aux États-Unis. C’est ce qu’a fait savoir le Premier ministre Ariel Henry.
“J’ai discuté de coopération au relèvement économique post-Covid, de climat, d’énergie et de sécurité”,a publié Ariel Henry sur son compte officiel Twitter.
Le chef du gouvernement affirme également avoir mis en avant, lors de cette rencontre, la nécessité de renforcer le partenariat entre la CARICOM, les États-Unis d’Amérique et les pays de l’hémisphère, dans l’objectif de répondre aux défis liés à la sécurité.
